Privacy Policy

Effective Date September 1, 2026 Version 1.0

This Privacy Policy explains how NurMunA LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the SessionsCheck mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Where this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service address the same subject matter, this Privacy Policy governs as to data-handling practices and the Terms of Service govern as to commercial and legal terms.

Our Core Philosophy: We believe in the absolute privacy and ownership of your personal and business data. SessionsCheck is designed as a privacy-first, local-only application. We do not collect, store, access, or share your personal User Content.

1

What Information We Do Not Collect

NurMunA LLC does not collect, store, or have access to any of the following:

  • Student Data: Names, contact information, notes, or any other details you input regarding your students.
  • Session Information: Tutoring schedules, lesson notes, session statuses, or history.
  • Financial Records: Payment statuses, billing notes, or any other transactional data, including any record you mark as a “payment” within the App. Such records reflect only what you manually input and are never transmitted to, verified by, or visible to NurMunA LLC.
  • Voice/Dictation Data (Pro Feature): The voice dictation feature is available exclusively to Pro subscribers. All voice processing is handled by Apple’s native speech recognition software. Depending on your device settings, this may be processed locally on-device or routed securely to Apple’s servers for transcription. We never receive, store, or have access to these audio recordings or transcripts.
  • iCloud Content: Any data synced to your private iCloud account. We have no visibility into, or control over, your iCloud storage.
  • Cross-App Tracking: We do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. SessionsCheck does not use third-party analytics or advertising frameworks that monitor your behavior outside of the App.
2

What Information We Do Collect (Diagnostic Data)

To maintain the quality, security, and stability of our Service, we collect limited, non-personal Diagnostic Data via our proprietary AppErrorLog system. This data is transmitted to a separate developer database hosted by Apple (CloudKit), logically and technically separate from the private database that holds your User Content, and is used solely to identify bugs and improve performance. This data is restricted to:

  • Error Details: Error type, title, message, and localized description.
  • Location Context: The specific function or view in the App where the error occurred.
  • Device Context: App version, build number, device model, system version, and simulator status.
  • Crash Data: Technical stack traces to help us resolve app crashes.

This diagnostic data is not designed to, and does not in the ordinary course, include your name, your students’ names or information, session notes, payment amounts, or other User Content. The error-related fields described above (error type, message, and stack trace) are populated by the App’s own code and describe the technical state of the App at the time of the error; they are not designed to capture text you have entered into notes, student records, or other free-text fields within the App.

You may opt out of sharing this Diagnostic Data at any time by disabling the "Share Crash Reports" toggle in the App's Settings screen. Disabling this setting stops future Diagnostic Data from being transmitted to our developer database; it does not delete Diagnostic Data already submitted.

3

Third-Party Services and Apple Infrastructure

  • Apple iCloud (Your Personal Data): Your data is stored on your device and synced strictly to your Private iCloud Database. By using iCloud sync, you are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms of Service. We are not a party to those agreements and have no control over how Apple handles your data.
  • Apple CloudKit (Diagnostic Infrastructure): While your personal tutoring data is kept in your private database (which we cannot see), our anonymous AppErrorLog system utilizes a separate, app-operated CloudKit database to receive crash and error reports. This infrastructure is managed entirely by Apple and adheres to their strict security protocols.
  • Apple In-App Purchases: We use Apple’s IAP system to process Pro subscriptions, which unlock premium features including Voice Dictation and CSV Data Exports. We never see, handle, or store your credit card numbers, bank details, or payment methods. All financial transactions are managed entirely by Apple. Apple requires your affirmative consent before any price increase takes effect for an existing subscription; pricing details are governed by our Terms of Service and presented to you on the in-app purchase screen prior to any purchase.
4

How We Use Information

We use the limited Diagnostic Data described in Section 2 solely for:

  • Troubleshooting and debugging technical issues.
  • Improving the reliability and stability of the App.
  • Ensuring the App remains compatible with updated versions of iOS/iPadOS.

Diagnostic Data Retention

We retain diagnostic records in our developer database for as long as we consider them operationally useful for identifying and resolving technical issues. We periodically clear diagnostic records at our discretion, including when a record relates to an issue that has already been resolved, in order to manage storage and reduce clutter in our developer database. We do not currently commit to a fixed retention period or an automated deletion schedule for diagnostic records, and you should not assume that any individual diagnostic record is deleted within any particular timeframe.

5

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

  • Legal Compliance: We will only disclose information if legally required to do so by a valid subpoena, court order, or other governmental request in compliance with applicable law. Because we do not store your User Content, we have no such data to provide even if compelled to do so. We may, however, possess and be required to disclose Diagnostic Data described in Section 2.
  • Business Transfers: If NurMunA LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, Diagnostic Data may be transferred as part of that transaction. Because we do not possess your personal User Content or iCloud data, that information remains with you and cannot be transferred by us. If NurMunA LLC ceases operations or transfers ownership of the Service, the App will continue to function on your device using your locally stored data and your private iCloud account, consistent with Section 13 of our Terms of Service.
6

Your Data Rights and Deletion

Because we do not collect or store your personal User Content in our company servers, we cannot process data access or deletion requests on your behalf with respect to User Content — we have nothing to access or delete. You retain complete control over your data.

How to Delete Your Data

The most reliable way to delete your User Content, including data synced to your private iCloud account, is to use the “Delete All Data” function inside "Settings" view within the App itself, rather than simply deleting the App from your device. 'Delete All Data' function within the App triggers an active, automated process that removes your data locally and then directly purges the corresponding data from your private iCloud CloudKit database, including verification that the data has been removed. Simply deleting the App from your device removes the App and its local data, but does not, by itself, trigger this active iCloud purge process, and your data may continue to exist in your private iCloud account until you either use the in-App deletion function or manually remove it through Apple’s own iCloud management tools.

This deletion process depends on your device having an active network connection and a signed-in, available iCloud account at the time of deletion. If your device is offline or your iCloud account is unavailable at that time, the on-device portion of deletion will still occur, but deletion from your iCloud account may not complete until you repeat the process under a stable connection. Because we have no access to your iCloud account, we cannot independently verify, expedite, or remotely complete deletion on your behalf. Further technical detail regarding this process is available in Section 14 of our Terms of Service.

If a third party, including a student or a student’s parent or guardian, contacts NurMunA LLC asserting a right with respect to data stored within the Service, we will direct that inquiry to the relevant tutor, as we have no access to the underlying data and no ability to act on it directly.

7

Regional Privacy Rights (CCPA, GDPR, and Others)

With respect to your User Content, which is stored exclusively on your device and in your private iCloud account and which we never receive, access, or process, we do not collect, “sell,” or “share” your personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), nor do we act as a “data controller” or “data processor” of your User Content under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar global privacy frameworks. Your User Content remains your property and entirely under your control, and you, not NurMunA LLC, determine the purposes and means of processing any personal data contained within it, including any data relating to your students.

With respect to the Diagnostic Data described in Section 2, which we do collect and which is transmitted to and processed within infrastructure we operate, NurMunA LLC acts as the controller of that Diagnostic Data to the extent it constitutes personal data under applicable law. We process Diagnostic Data on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining, securing, and improving the Service. If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants you rights with respect to Diagnostic Data specifically, including rights of access, correction, deletion, or objection, you may contact us using the information in Section 11; because Diagnostic Data is not linked to your identity or User Content, we may be limited in our ability to locate a specific record responsive to your request without further information identifying that record.

8

Your Responsibilities

Because your data is stored locally and in your private cloud, you are responsible for:

  • Security: Maintaining the security of your device and your iCloud credentials.
  • Backups & Data Export: Periodically backing up your device and your iCloud data. If you have an active Pro subscription, you can utilize the built-in CSV export feature to download and keep your own offline records of your tutoring business. Users on the Free tier are responsible for manually tracking or maintaining alternative records if they choose not to upgrade.
  • Compliance: Ensuring your handling of student information complies with laws like FERPA, COPPA, and other relevant privacy regulations in your jurisdiction, as further described in Section 6 of our Terms of Service.
9

Age Eligibility and Children’s Privacy

SessionsCheck requires that any individual who accesses or uses the App be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly permit any individual under that age to use the App, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from any such individual in connection with app usage.

This age requirement governs who may act as a User of the Service. It does not mean the Service is free of data relating to minors: because the Service is designed for tutors and educators, a User may, in the ordinary course of operating a tutoring business, store information regarding their students within the Service, and students may be minors. Because our Service is designed to operate locally on your device and within your private iCloud account, NurMunA LLC does not have access to, and does not have the ability to retrieve, modify, or delete, the specific student data or other personal information a User enters into the App. If you are a tutor, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App, and any data you choose to input or store regarding a minor, complies with all applicable privacy laws regarding the protection of minors, including FERPA, COPPA, and equivalent international frameworks, as further described in Section 6 of our Terms of Service.

10

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the App’s in-app Service Notification feature. As a backstop, the current “Effective Date” and a summary of material changes will also be visible within the App’s Settings area, consistent with the notification process described in Section 5 of our Terms of Service. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
